The Beringer Group announced the successful sale of Sta-home Health and Hospice, a leading home health care provider based in Jackson, MS, to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) representing the company’s employees.
Employee ownership was the best fit for Sta-home where employees are considered without a doubt the company’s number one asset. Founded in 1976 by Joyce and Vic Caracci, Sta-home is today Mississippi’s largest privately owned home health provider. The dedicated, compassionate employees at Sta-home continue to bring expert medical care into the homes of thousands daily.
The Beringer Group has worked with Sta-home, the Caracci Family and the company management since 2008 to plan, structure and execute the sale. “Selling to an ESOP ensures the likelihood that Sta-home will remain locally owned and committed to the community. The Caracci Family was looking for a way to meet their transition objectives while protecting the leadership team, employees and the community.
